Tutorial to add a free shopping cart to your web site ...

Now let’s get moving to get your shopping cart online.....

It’s straightforward, just be sure your shopping cart links are EXACTLY as shown via your account as explained below.

Remember that you’ll be able to adjust prices etc. at anytime directly on your site and adjust tax and shipping issues too - for more in-depth details on cart set-up tutorials go here

The added bonus of having your shop sitting on your web site (as opposed to a 3rd party company) is that you have total control and are not at risk if the 3rd party company goes out of business or starts making some silly, unacceptable, demands (financial or otherwise) in the future.

You retain control of your cart at all times. Makes sense to me!

Let’s assume the first item you want to sell sits on a page of your web site something like this:

Do the Prof. a favour....

This brilliant i-Flush is an absolute steal at $10.95 and is now in stock for immediate dispatch. Click on the Shopping Cart icon or here to add it to your basket.

Add to basket

Expanatory notes:

Both the shopping cart icon and the ‘here’ text are linked to the shopping cart system. Here the link is:

http://ww4.aitsafe.com/cf/add.cfm?userid=69170230 &product=i-Flush&price=10.95

You’ll see the cart ‘pop-up’ in a new window. The cart ‘remembers’ what you’ve ordered even when you close the window. This is as simple a cart as you could have.

Note how you can delete items and ‘Recalculate’ and ‘Checkout’ if you want to but don’t buy anything!!! The i-Flush is currently out of stock :-)

All the product information, images etc. sit on this web site. The Shopping Cart just takes, collates and adjusts that information as your visitor clicks around your site buying your products. They can choose to buy more than one of a single product, delete mistakes, change their mind and only when they check out be presented with payment options (i.e. PayPal or a variety of other Payment Gateways).

[ + if applicable shipping charges, tax etc. which you decide on]

You can set up an auto-reply “Thank you for your order” or similar and you will be notified when you’ve made a sale.

Cool or what? Did I mention that this is a free Shopping cart system and has been for over 5 years The company makes its’ money from clients who sign up for a paid for cart (a few more bells & whistles) - and even that’s only a few bucks a month.
