The first time I set up a shopping cart on a web site of my own was about7 years ago. I lived in the United Kingdom at the time and this made it even more difficult.

I only wanted to sell around twenty items that I would drop-ship to customers via an affilate program I was involved in and my budget was virtually non-existent.
